Why use this image converter

Your images stay private

The conversion happens in your browser, on your own device. Nothing is uploaded to a server, so your photos are never stored or seen by anyone.

Free, with no sign-up

No account, no watermark and no limit on how often you use it.

Convert, compress and resize at once

Change the format, lower the file size and set new dimensions in one go, instead of using three different tools.

See it before you save it

A side-by-side view shows the original and the result, with how much smaller the new file is, so you can choose the right quality.

Exact sizes

Resize by percentage, or type a width and height in pixels, with the proportions locked or unlocked.

Works on any device

Phone, tablet or computer: it runs in any modern browser, with nothing to install.

Formats you can convert

Open almost any common image and save it in the format you need.

JPG / JPEG

Best for photos: small files that work everywhere. JPG has no transparency, so see-through areas get a solid background.

PNG

Lossless and sharp, with transparency. Ideal for logos, screenshots and graphics with text. Files are larger than JPG.

WebP

Made for the web: usually much smaller than JPG or PNG at the same quality, and it supports transparency. Every modern browser shows it.

AVIF

The newest format, often the smallest of all. Saving as AVIF needs a browser that can create AVIF files; if yours can't, the option is turned off.

GIF, BMP, SVG and ICO

Open these too, and save them as JPG, PNG, WebP or AVIF.

Which format should I choose?

For a website or blog

WebP: the smallest files at good quality, so pages load faster.

For photos to share or print

JPG: it opens on every phone, computer and printer.

For logos, icons and screenshots

PNG: it keeps edges and text crisp and supports transparency.

For the smallest possible file

AVIF, if your browser can save it; otherwise WebP.

Frequently asked questions

How do I convert WebP to JPG?

Open the converter, choose your WebP image, select JPG as the format and press Download. It takes a few seconds, and the image never leaves your device.

How do I convert PNG to JPG?

Choose your PNG, pick JPG and download. JPG doesn't support transparency, so any see-through parts get a solid background. If you need transparency, keep PNG or choose WebP.

How do I convert JPG to WebP?

Choose your JPG, select WebP and download. WebP files are usually much smaller than JPG at the same quality, which makes web pages load faster.

How do I make an image file smaller?

Choose Compress to lower the file size with the quality slider, Resize to make the image 25%, 50% or 75% of its size or set an exact width and height, or Both. The converter shows how much smaller the new file is.

Not yet: browsers can't open HEIC files directly. On an iPhone you can switch the camera to JPG under Settings → Camera → Formats → Most Compatible, or share the photo as JPG, then convert it here.

Does it work on a phone?

Yes. It works in any modern browser on Android phones, iPhones, tablets and computers, with nothing to install.

Can I convert several images at once?

For now it converts one image at a time. After you download, choose Change image to convert the next one.
